1. EcoFlow Delta 1300

EcoFlow Delta 1300 side view
EcoFlow Delta 1300 solar generator

The EcoFlow Delta 1300 is a unique solar generator well-known for its battery management system and its AC charging platform. The overall features of this generator make it great for camping, workshops, and mobile usage. This device comes with specifications that make it an excellent choice for fast charging.

One of the exciting features of this device is its built-in MPPT charge controller, which plays a role in its fast charging. The MPPTcontroller helps regulate the battery charging process to ensure that the battery is charging appropriately.

There are three ways to charge the Delta 1300. You can plug it directly into your solar panel, AC wall outlet, and car outlet. When plugged into a solar panel setup rated up to 400W of total output, it takes four hours for a complete charge. With an AC outlet, it takes two hours. If you use your car, then you may wait as long as 18 hours for a full charge.

Even though you can charge this generator through a solar panel, AC wall socket, or a car outlet, there’s one minor limitation. Unlike some other generators on the market, you can’t charge the Delta 1300 by combining multiple inputs. In other words, you can’t charge it by your solar panel, wall socket, and car altogether. You need to choose one.

The Delta 1300 features six AC outlets, two USB-C PD ports, four USB-A outlets (two of them being fast-charge at 28W max), and a DC car outlet. The available outlets on the generator make it easier to use in different conditions. These options also allow you to charge your phone, tablet, and other devices simultaneously. This solar generator comes with all the necessary cables for AC, solar, and car charging.

2. EcoFlow River 600

EcoFlow River 600 front view
EcoFlow Delta R600 solar generator

The EcoFlow River 600 is a durable power station known for its expandable battery feature and fast charging. With two of the R600 batteries, you can double the capacity of the device. The River 600 comes with a battery rated at 288Wh, which charges from 0-80% in an hour from the wall. For a full charge, this battery takes just over 90 minutes.

You can charge the River 600 via a wall socket, solar panel, and a car. The estimated wall charging time is under two hours. Unlike some portable power stations on the market, the River 600 cannot be charged by multiple inputs combined. In other words, you can only charge it separately via a car charger, solar panel, or wall outlet.

Regarding the solar panel, the R600 supports a maximum of 200W of panels. This is a high number in relation to solar generators of similar battery capacity. It also uses MPPT charging technology for maximum charge efficiency.

In terms of ports, the R600 features three AC ports, three USB-A ports, one 100W USB-C port, a 12V DC output, one 12V car outlet, a solar/car input, and an X-Stream AC input. The number of outlets in this solar generator makes it capable of powering ten devices simultaneously.

For a 288Wh power station, the features that it provides are rather impressive. Its inverter size makes it possible to power most common home appliances like the TV, toaster, electric kettle, microwave, and even a blender.

An added impressive feature of the solar generator is the X-Boost Smart Algorithm. When in X-Boost mode, the AC output of 600W becomes 1,800W max, making it capable of powering heavy-duty appliances if needed. Note that this function is better for devices within 1,200W for a great experience. Also, note that using this much power (1,200W+) will drain the battery quickly.

Features of the River 600

  • Fast charging: The solar generator recharges from 0 to 80 percent within an hour, thanks to the X-Stream technology. It also features an MPPT charge controller that helps the system’s charge efficiency.
  • Expandable: You can increase the capacity of the R600 to power appliances for a more extended period after a full charge. This option is possible, thanks to the X-Link cable.
  • Suitable battery type: The River 600 uses a lithium-ion battery. It has a high energy density and is more stable than other batteries on the market.
  • Lightweight: The power station’s total weight is 11 pounds, making it one of the lightest generators with its system specifications.
